About East Food Gardens

East Food Gardens purpose is to revive our local food system and teach the ways of our ancestors through farming practices, indigenous crops and rare seed preservation. Our goal is to provide locally sourced specialty produce to our community, aid afro-indigenous and heirloom farmers through carbon farming training/business support and provide food assistance to elderly and underserved households. We believe that with our efforts we, as a community, will gain sustainability and knowledge that will preserve our traditions and our earth.
